 The Foundation pools and permanently invests gifts from donors of all walks of life. Through its spending formula the Foundation make grants to charitable agencies in the areas of: community service, education, health, arts, culture & heritage, and recreation.

* Youth in Philanthropy is a valuable way for young people to learn about their community and how they can have an impact as philanthropists. The Winkler Community Foundation offers YiP committees a matching grant of up to $1,000 to distribute back to the community.

2015 SMART & CARING TRUE SPORT GRANTS

Smart & Caring True Sport is a national collaboration between Community Foundations of Canada and the True Sport Foundation that harnesses the power of sport to make our communities stronger, healthier and more resilient places to live, work and play. As True Sport is wrapping up their Smart & Caring True Sport grants, The Winkler Community Foundation had the opportunity to partner with True Sport for a second round of sport funding. True Sport, a national foundation, is dedicated to the notion that good sport can make a difference. The True sport grants are matched by True Sport and the community group to fund the project.
