Job Title:                 Scholarship & Marketing Coordinator

Start Date:               September, 2022

Salary:                     $17 per hour – $20 per hour

Hours of Work:       Average 10 hours per week over 52 weeks.  Hours to include attendance at meetings as required. Limited hours during summer and holidays; increased hours during peak season.

Reports to:              Executive Director

Qualifications

 

Summary of primary job functions

This employee is responsible for the Winkler Community Foundation scholarship program; development, implementation, and administration.

This employee will develop and manage marketing campaigns, website and social media communication.

The Scholarship & Marketing Coordinator will be an integral member of the WCF team. The employee will support the WCF executive director by assisting with routine administrative tasks and ensure smooth and efficient administrative operation of the foundation.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Scholarship Related Tasks

  1. Administers all Scholarship program activities, including:

Ongoing Development, review and implementation of scholarship program; information, application forms, reports, and processes that assure access, accountability, and adherence to Foundation policies

  1. Communicating with students, counselors, colleges, donors, and other involved parties
  2. Process applications and manage awards efficiently and accurately

Marketing Related Tasks

  1. Creativity in development of Foundation’s marketing campaigns, website development, social media, annual newsletter, etc.
  2. Promotion of Scholarship fund, programs and recipients; media, social media, website and print material
  3. Plan for and participate in annual GVSD career symposium
  4. Identify and implement new technology and resources; redesigning systems; making recommendations to improve the impact of the foundation in our community.

Administrative Tasks

  1. Work closely with the Scholarship committee: preparing for meetings, taking minutes, building resources to support committee
  2. Assist in event planning as directed by committee leaders or Executive Director
  3. Other tasks as assigned by Executive Director
